Rotary Club of Rancho Park
Our Club
A community of neighbors and leaders on the Westside of Los Angeles, united by Service Above Self since 1955.
Who We Are
People of Action
Rotary is an international humanitarian service organization dedicated to changing lives through service. Our global network of 1.2 million members consists of neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who share a vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change—across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary was founded in Chicago on February 23, 1905, by attorney Paul Harris and three friends. More than 120 years later, Rotary continues to bring people together through fellowship and service to make a meaningful difference in communities around the world.

What Guides Us
Our Core Values
In Our Own Words
The world today is very different from the world of 1905. Demographics have shifted, the pace of change has accelerated, and technology has created new opportunities for connection and service.
What has not changed are the values at the heart of Rotary.
Fellowship
We build lifelong friendships through weekly meetings, shared projects, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Integrity
We follow the Four-Way Test in all we think, say, and do — a standard of ethics that guides every decision.
Diversity
We welcome members of every background, profession, and perspective, knowing our differences make us stronger.
Service
We put Service Above Self, using our time and talents to improve lives in our community and around the world.
Leadership
We develop leaders who take action, inspire others, and create sustainable change that lasts for generations.
Our Journey
Our Areas of Focus
Rotarians believe we have a shared responsibility to take action on some of the world's most critical and persistent challenges. Through more than 35,000 Rotary clubs worldwide, we focus our efforts in seven areas:
Promote Peace
We support peacebuilding and conflict resolution efforts in communities around the world.
Fight Disease
We mobilize resources to prevent and treat disease, from polio eradication to local health clinics.
Provide Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
We bring safe water and sanitation to communities that lack these basic necessities.
Save Mothers and Children
We improve access to healthcare and nutrition for mothers and children in need.
Support Education
We expand access to quality education and literacy programs for children and adults.
Grow Local Economies
We invest in entrepreneurship and job development to strengthen communities from within.
Protect the Environment
We support sustainability projects that protect natural resources for future generations.
Leadership
How We Work
We Don't Simply Identify Problems. We Get Involved.
Our members bring diverse professional expertise, leadership, experience, and perspectives to the challenges facing our communities and our world. We turn ideas into action and use our passion, resources, and perseverance to develop sustainable solutions that create lasting change.
Our mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Our Impact
One of Rotary's most significant humanitarian initiatives has been the global effort to eradicate polio.
When Rotary began its initiative to eradicate polio, there were approximately 350,000 cases in 125 countries. Today, wild polio remains endemic in only Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This extraordinary progress demonstrates what can happen when Rotarians share a vision, remain committed for generations, and work together to solve seemingly impossible problems.
Diversity
Rotary recognizes that our differences strengthen our organization and our ability to serve.
We value diversity and celebrate the contributions of people of different ages, ethnicities, races, cultures, abilities, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexes, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Our common bond is a commitment to Service Above Self and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
The Four-Way Test
Rotarians are guided in their personal and professional relationships by one of Rotary's most enduring ethical principles, The Four-Way Test:
Of the things we think, say or do:- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
